So if you’re a beginner and hosted one website till date but wanted to host multiple websites or want to change your current hosting because you are not happy with their services, then I suggest going with iPage this time.
iPage is super clean, easy and perfect choice for hosting your blog or business website.
If you search on the web you will find almost each web hosting companies offer multiple domains support and iPage.com is not an exception.
Recently I change my host from DreamHost to iPage (I was very happy with DreamHost but wanted to check iPage too).
Let me tell you hosting multiple domains on iPage is little tricky. So here are the steps you need to follow.
3 Steps to Host Multiple Domains on iPage
Every blogger after sometimes need another site online — host multiple domains. Nowadays every hosting company offers its customer to host their multiple domains hosted. That’s the first step. Now there are three other steps you need to complete to add additional domains.
If you registered your domain name other than iPage then just edit the nameservers on the domain name you wanted to host to iPage.
You can easily change the nameservers in the control panel by log into your domain registrar account. Here is the video for Godaddy users (video tutorial here)
Ipage nameservers are:
Login to your iPage
After logging in move to the DomainCentral.
(1) Click on the “Add Existing” tab.
(2) Enter your domain name
(3) and press “Add”.
If you haven’t updated your domain nameservers yet I suggest updating now. (refer above)
Now you can refresh the page DomainCentral and check your added domain is reflecting or not. It must appear like below.
Now you need to click on the link “more info”. Once you click on “more info” link, you will see few options arranged in series.
(4) Just click on the “Pointers”. Now you need to do two things, from the drop down select the “Subdirectory” option and give it a name which is easy to remember (I suggest to keep same as your domain name).
Now click on save.
Note: Don’t forget to add a slash before the directory name.
Access your Controlpanel
Now move to “file manager” to check the subdirectory you just set up is showing or not. If you did the correct way, it will show like below.
You have done it and you can add more domains in iPage following the same procedure.
Now you only need to install WordPress on any of your added domain using their 1-click WordPress installation from Mojo market.
