What Ankit Singla says about him?
Now I don’t want to make it very long. So starting the conversation.
Welcome Ankit! for joining us.
1 – These days you’re not writing much on BloggerTipsTricks, are you working on some other blogs?
Ankit: I prefer quality to quantity. This is the main reason why I post less frequently on BTT these days. I want to focus on well-written and in-depth guides that will help solve the issues of my audience. My simple logic is if a visitor lands on your page in search of something, he shouldn’t have to go to a second blog for more information on that topic. You have to do everything to write everything he needs.
I am also developing my own digital marketing agency, PlugResponse. So it too demands a bit of my time.
2 – How do you solve common SEO problem when something goes wrong?
Ankit: I am a self-learner. When something goes wrong (which rarely happens), I often research about it on Google. You’ve got lot of expert- forums and other authority blogs that have at least some information on something. If it is a technical error, I contact the customer service of the department and together we try to solve the problem.
3 – What SEO setting on a total new blog before publishing any content?
Ankit: When working on a new blog, I make sure it is well optimized and secured. On the SEO front, I use the Yoast SEO plug-in and optimize it for every setting. I also set up social profiles for the blog to boost the branding and give the blog an easy appearance on the SERPs.
4 – What tools do you find indispensable for accomplishing SEO?
Ankit: I use quite a few yet effective SEO tools. SEMrush is something I use for competitor analysis and finding great keywords. Other tools include long tail pro for finding keywords that are easier to rank and Grammarly (not an exact SEO tool, but proper grammar and punctuation does help in SEO).
5 – How do you solve the problem of organic traffic? Every face this.
Ankit: Organic traffic is not so hard. The only thing you need is a proper content strategy. As I said earlier, I try to write in-depth solutions of problems my audience faces. I get content ideas from the problems my readers are facing. For that, I use search console and analytics to find out what my readers are searching for when they land on my blog. This can be done with forums and blog comments as well.
Then I plug those keywords or raw data on long tail pro to find easy keywords that can be targeted in my posts.
While writing my posts, I make sure the content is high quality and well researched. Here one thing that most bloggers forget is to optimize their posts before publishing. I use this guide to make sure my content is fully optimized before publishing.

6 – Who are your biggest influences? Who do you admire most? Who or what inspired you to do what you’re doing now?
Ankit: I personally like the work of Brian Dean of Backlinko.com, Authority hacker. They discuss topics which every blogger and marketer should take note of.
7 – What is still your biggest challenge?
Ankit: I don’t believe of having a same challenge for a long time. You come across a challenge, you strive to overcome it and then it disappears. That’s the whole game plan.
If you want to know of my biggest challenge as of now, it is to overcome the fear of camera. This fear had been stopping me to come out and solve my community’s problems one on one. But, I already am working towards it and I have just posted my first online video and its some really good reviews.

8 – What are your favorite blogs where you go for a common problem solution?
9 – What’s your best advice for handling SEO?
Ankit: Like I said, I write in-depth posts. For handling SEO you have to make sure everything is natural and ethical. The only way to get search love is to look for reader love. When you write epic posts that solves your readers’ doubts, they trust and visit your blogs even more.
Eventually backlinks and higher ranks in SERPs follow suit.
10 – Google are frequently updating their algorithms but new bloggers are always in fear of getting affected? Any advice for them?
Ankit: First is, penalties come to places where Google finds something fishy. If you are doing in an ethical ways there is no need to fear. I’d say write awesome posts, get backlinks form legit sources and do not copy anything from existing posts.
To stay secured, make sure you are aware of the SEO changes. Read blogs like SEJ and The SEM Post. This will help you to prevent penalties and may reward in some cases. Like recently, Google increased the width of title tags in SERPs; if you are aware of it you can re-optimize your blog titles to get higher CTR.
11 – Is AdSense is still the best way to monetize the blogs? I think we have more options now, CPM and affiliate marketing? What you prefer?
Ankit: It depends. If you are working on digital marketing niche, like me, AdSense is useless there because your readers are aware that there is an ad Affiliate marketing and selling services pay even more than Adsense. I prefer the latter.
I’d say do not settle down with only one income stream. Here is an effective list of AdSense alternatives, which you can try on your blog. Don’t put all your eggs in one basket.

12 – What do you want your legacy to be? How do you want to be remembered?
Ankit: For me, my legacy is my audience. The community I have built over the years is my most valuable legacy. With BTT and my latest venture PlugResponse, I aim helping my community of bloggers and small businesses grow and reach their goals. I want to be known as a person who leaves no stone unturned to solve his readers’ problem.
Not over yet….
I had asked some more questions that I haven’t published here because of long question list but below is the conclusion of all their answers.
After interviewing Ankit Singla I got a conclusion that consistency is the key to success.
Blogging is more tough if you don’t have any loyal readers, start building your readership if you want to survive in blogosphere.
In online business if there is no brand and personal touch means readers will not trust you. You should have the motive to help others and I am sure in return you will more sales (if doing affiliate marketing)
Keep your blogs updated with latest information and read more articles and books related to your niche to gain more knowledge.
