Step 4: Select the Keyword (actual process)
Suppose I am trying to generate long tail keywords for any blog that works on Men’s Fitness, so I entered the keyword “steps building six packs”. And see what result I got in below image.
Before stuffing the keyword “steps building six packs” I created the filter of local searches 2000, global searches 10,000 and number of words to 3. And because of this filter, I got above best result.
At the right-hand side see the column of Average Keyword competition, this play a very important role in selecting keywords.
Note: Our target keyword should have average keyword competition below 40 or 40.
Look at the above screenshot the word “ab workouts for men” has a local search of 14,000 and global search of 18,000 and its keyword competition is also 40. You can also choose keywords having keyword competition below 40.
I know if the content is properly optimized, I can rank higher on search engines. So I can go with it.
But wait ! there is something missing. I need to check the plagiarism of keyword. When I clicked on the keyword a list of already ranked site appears but I want to check does any site contains keyword same as mine?
There is an only site containing the same keyword as mine but that’s YouTube, finally, I can decide to go with the selected keyword.
